Dear all,

The Open University is pleased to announce 5 fully-financed PhD
Studentships in Data Science available to start in October 2015:

Students will be based in the Knowledge Media Institute (KMi), home to
internationally recognised researchers in semantic technologies,
educational multimedia, collaboration technologies, artificial
intelligence, cognitive science, and human-computer interaction.
Topics are particularly welcome from digital classicist students to do
research into the application and development of semantic web
technologies, text mining, and/or linked data for investigating any
aspect of the ancient world.

The deadline for applications is 13th July 2015 (see the "how to
apply" section: http://kmi.open.ac.uk/studentships/). See more at:

Please circulate widely among colleagues or students. Do feel free to
get in touch with me if you have any queries.

best wishes
