Dear Colleagues:

I’m writing to invite your comments on the keyword “Mapping
<https://digitalpedagogy.commons.mla.org/keywords/mapping/>” curated by
Diana Sinton as part of the project of /Digital Pedagogy in the
Humanities: Concepts, Models, and Experiments/, eds. Rebecca Frost
Davis, Matthew K. Gold, Katherine D. Harris, and Jentery Sayers:
https://digitalpedagogy.commons.mla.org/keywords/mapping/ This entry
explains the relevance of mapping to digital pedagogy and shares ten
pedagogical examples. The editors welcome your comments on clarity of
the curator’s statement, selection and presentation of artifacts, and
applicability of the keyword. Open peer review concludes *July 1, 2016*.

The full announcement and other keywords under review are below.

The editors of /Digital Pedagogy in the Humanities: Concepts, Models,
and Experiments/, Rebecca Frost Davis, Matthew K. Gold, Katherine D.
Harris, and Jentery Sayers, invite you to participate in the open
peer-review process of the anthology’s second set of curated keywords.
Each entry in the collection focuses on a keyword in the practice of
digital pedagogy (ranging from “access” to “history” to “mapping”) and
is curated by an experienced practitioner of digital pedagogy. The
curator’s contextualization of the keyword is supported by a collection
of ten pedagogical artifacts, such as syllabi, prompts, exercises,
lesson plans, Web sites, and student work drawn from courses,
classrooms, and projects across the humanities. New keywords will be
added in batches throughout 2016, and fifty keywords will be included in
the final project.

Please visit https://digitalpedagogy.commons.mla.org to read and
review the fourth set of keywords, now available for open review. The
official review period for the fourth set of keywords will end on 1 July
2016.

These keywords are now open for comment:

•Access

•Blogging

•Classroom

•Code

•Gender

•History

•Information

•Mapping

•Open

•Remix

When commenting on keywords, please consider the following:

·Clarity of curator’s statement: Is the curator’s rationale clear? Do
the artifacts below it fulfill the promises of the curatorial statement?

·Selection and presentation of artifacts: Does the keyword provide a
broad range of sample artifacts? Are those artifacts annotated well? Are
there any major gaps that should be addressed?

·Applicability: Does the keyword provide a wide range of starting points
for a scholar interested in engaging in digital pedagogy work?
